SOLD OUT TRIVIUM, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY AND BAD OMENS SHOW IN DALLAS, TX

Tour Stops at GMBG in Dallas, TX and Plays to Fans Despite Hotter Than Hades Temperatures

SOLD OUT TRIVIUM

Of course, the show sold out. TRIVIUM has been a favorite amongst Dallas metal fans for years. Anticipating this stacked line-up arriving in Dallas was nothing short of nail-biting. TRIVIUM has been a hot potato in the band basket since 2017. And with their latest release in 2017 of The Sin and the Sentence, from Roadrunner Records the temperature just continues to rise for Orlando, Florida natives, and their mathematical turned mainstream metal.

Not to mention the ever-talented BAD OMENS gang, who after releasing their debut Bad Omens record via Sumerian Records have toured non-stop, pounding the pavement and their lovely sequences of rock into fans all over the world.

What turned into a treat for fans in Dallas however, was the venue that housed this stop on their summer headlining tour. Despite the hell-hot, record-breaking temperatures for this summer in Dallas, Gas Monkey Bar & Grill (GMBG) and their outdoor venue hosted the night which was an up-close and personal experience for fans of all the bands on this bill. No one minded the fact that after the local opener, Goodbye Kilter played the first song they all looked like they took a dip in the dirty pond next to the venue. Nor did fans mind the fact that it was impossible to move around the venue while one of the bands was on stage. Everyone held their toxins and double fisted beers while each band played and during set change mad the mad dash to the lav and the bar.

So what if it was 109 in the shade at sundown. Who cared that it was impossible to do much of anything but stand there whilst saying “It’s hot AF out here!” over and over to your neighbors on all sides. Or that the sweat pooled like piss in parts of your pants? It was a rock show and let’s face it, sometimes people have to make sacrifices for the music, right? Because it didn’t stop TRIVIUM from playing like they had alien-superpowers that deflected the heat. It didn’t stop BAD OMENS from banging out their set blissfully to screaming fans. Nor did FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY reduce their performance at all and in fact, it seemed that they gained fans on this 5th run in Texas not only with their music but in paying tribute to the late VINNIE PAUL ABBOTT with a brief moment of silence.

TRIVIUM will continue touring road warrior style when they join AVATAR this fall. Check the band’s socials (listed below) for all the dates for this banger!
