Brooklyn’s American Authors are making their way onto the radar with the release of their self-titled EP. Members, Zac Barnett (vocals), James Adam Shelley (guitar/banjo), Dave Rublin (bass), and Matt Sanchez (drums) formed the band in 2006 while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts; however, they eventually dropped out, carrying their aspirations with them to Brooklyn. Their single, “Best Day of My life” is comprised of mellifluous banjo riffs and well-crafted melodies.
