RATING: “PUSH PLAY”
She & Him’s third album, Volume 3 is by far their best work yet. Together, Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward created a refreshing and light-hearted album. Whimsical songs such as “I’ve Got Your Number, Son” and “Somebody Sweet To Talk To” are encased with dynamic lyrics and music.
Ward and Deschanel’s glinting melodies are flawless. Volume 3 is a harmonious embodiment of what She & Him represent. The album features guest artists such as Joey Spampinato of NRBQ, Mike Watt, Tilly and the Wall, Pierre de Reeder of Rilo Kiley, and Tom Hagerman of Devotchka.
Whimsical. Harmonious. Pop. “PUSH PLAY”.
