MAY 14TH—TREES (Dallas, TX)
– By Jerry Rutherford
“Fear Factory Back On Tour, and Back in Big D“
Los Angeles’ own Fear Factory will descend upon Dallas once again at Trees on Tuesday, May 14 for what will surely be yet another plunge into their dense, streamlined powersurge of weight-soaked chug, mechanized rhythm and atmospheric nuance. The band’s latest album The Industrialist finds them sounding as vital and vibrant than ever with core members vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares keeping their creative spirit burning strong.
They’ve long been pioneers of their craft with an approach that arguably ushered in the combination of roaring vocals mixed with melodic refrains to modern Heavy Music as far back as the early 90’s. Fear Factory also has used their wealth of varied influences to create songs that pulse and pummel as much as they swirl and simmer.
They’ve got an arsenal of amazing material to draw from when it comes to putting together a setlist that rarely fails to impress. Get to Trees early because local support comes from Low Gear along with Fear Factory’s tourmates Hate Eternal among others.
