– W.A. Fite by Brandon Callies –
RATING: “PUSH PLAY”
W.A. Fite’s recent release, Builds.with.Age is a very refreshing offering. The album drips with creativity and artistic freedom, which is something the music industry is in desperate need of these days. The clash of imagery is what really makes “Builds.with.Age” stand out.
There is a dark overtone in all of the songs mixed with lyrics about love and family. Great examples of this can be found in songs like “Dramatics” and “The Simple Life“. The American dream is alive and well in this collection of songs, only this is the grey house on the block. The dark clouds overhead look a bit sketchy as well.
